I will be a little more solemn in this entry. The massive relevance of reminders of both Union and Confederate sacrifices was overwhelming.
I will feature some of the ones we visited on this late Saturday in September.

The Eternal Light Peace Memorial

The 75th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg had this memorial to remember those who laid their lives for their country.
The Virginia Monument is nearby and pays tribute to all the fallen soldiers from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

In kind, the North Carolina monument gives a perspective for those fallen in the greatest battle on American soil.
Both Union and Confederate lives were sacrificed on those fateful days in late July 1863.
